Call of the Pygmies Kingdom

This circuit is a veritable synthesis of nature and cultures that you will have the opportunity to experience (spend the night, work and share meals with pygmies) the daily life of these people who are believed to be the first inhabitants of Cameroon. Do you want to go hunting, harvesting or fishing? Then this circuit is designed for you and it will surely give you moments of joy and happiness. For 7days, nature opens up to you; discover the mysteries of the pygmies’ codex and if you are lucky enough you may live the treatment of a typical case of ‘witchcraft’ in real life! You will have yourself to blame if you do not visit the beautiful sandy Kribi beaches and their environs, the Lobe village and its Waterfalls (the only place in the World where a waterfall enters into the Atlantic Ocean through a Waterfall), the Campo National Park and its Elephants…

Detailed Itinerary Program

Day 01: Douala

Arrival of participants at the Douala International Airport and reception by a Global Bush representative and transfer to the Hotel. Dinner and night.

Day 02: Douala – Boumnyebel – Eseka – Lolodorf

Breakfast, and then depart for Lolodorf (a name that dates back the German colonial era) via Boumnyebel and Eseka. Arrive during the day and after lunch, visit the pygmy’s settlement followed by a cultural manifestation in the evening during which you will discover and appreciate pygmies’ traditional dances with smooth tones and step-based fantastic rhythm. Dinner and night.

Day 03: Lolodorf – Bipindi

After breakfast, visit to the village and a rapid green trip to experience life in the forest, then take off for Bipindi and upon arrival have lunch. Continue to the pygmies’ village and their traditional settlements where you will possibly interview and take pictures with the chief. Other recreational activities and then dinner and night.

Day 04: Bipindi – Kribi – Lobe

Breakfast and then drive for Lobe via Kribi and upon arrival visit the Lobe Cascade (the only place in the world where a waterfall enters the Atlantic Ocean through a water Cascade). Here, enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the sea and relax on the beach. Later have lunch in a restaurant where you can enjoy fresh sea products. Continue to visit the Grand Batanga Museum with very varied and diversified artifacts. Return to Lobe. Other leisure activities and then dinner and night.

Day 05: Lobe – Campo ma’an – Ebodje

Early morning after breakfast, depart for the Campo ma’an National Park with its highly diversified wildlife. As a tourist marvel to be, this park constitutes the last sanctuary for the African forest Elephants and Gorillas. Have a green outing led by a tour guide who will lead you to all unexplored corners of the park. Continue drive to Ebodje and upon arrival at the outing of the fishers’ village, there will be a cultural evening and then dinner and night.

Day 06: Ebodje – Kribi

After breakfast, depart for the ‘Rocher du loup’ (the rock of the wolf) and visit one of the most beautiful beaches in the world with fine and golden sand that will provide you with smooth and pleasing feelings. Visit of the turtles’ museum, and then depart for Kribi after lunch and upon arrival have leisure activities. Dinner and night spent at the hotel.

Day 07: kribi – Douala

After breakfast, you have leisure activities and then depart for Edea where you have lunch. Continue for the Douala International Airport for departure formalities. Farewell greetings. Take off and end of the visit.
